Heart Disease Video
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. Heart diseases include coronary heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, ischaemic (ischemic) heart disease, peripheral artery disease and can lead to heart attacks and stroke. Dr. Dahlman’s video explains how heart disease can be prevented or reversed with a proper diet, but only managed with heart disease medications.

no mention of the DASH diet Dr? It has also been proven to prevent heart disease and it seems easier to stay on than a low carb diet.
No, Atkins is hight fat… not high protein.
Reducing your saturated fat is the ultimate goal. The best way is to match a ratio of good fat with bad fat. Fish Oil has a lot of Omega-3. Eskimos eat a lot of fish. They live longer due to the high Omega-3 in there blood (HDL). Atkins is high protein, not lots of meat. Everything in moderation.
Fish, chicken, olive oil, nuts. No one said you should eat a lot of saturated fat…..BUT!……there is no correlation between saturated fat and a LOW CARB diet and heart disease. If you still have unwarranted fears, eat less of them and more of what I mentioned.
hang on!how do you reduced the saturated fat if your on the Atkins?
I have already suffered 2 heart attack & have what my phsyican calls dangerously high triglycerides & LDL, and i was told that if i do not get these levels under control i will have another. This did frighten me and i knew i needed to do something to reverse this damage. I knew plant sterols were powerful so i tried Sterolyn, and i’m very proud to say that my triglycerides have gone from 512 all the way down to 155. LDL count down from 240 to 132. Great product.
You are very informed Dr.
Thank you.

Yes, you have a HIGH chance of getting heart disease. You’re living such a DANGEROUS life-style, smoking and eattng fast food are the BIGGEST KILLERS in America. You’re still so young, why not take better care of your body. I feel SORRY for people who dont appreciate life! If you get heart problem already at your age, DAMM that’s a bummer. If I were you, I would stop smoking. SAVE your MONEY for something more valuable in life.
I also get pains in my arms and legs but they are very brief. My left part of my chest and my heart sometimes hurts like… I sometimes get a pain in my heart area but if i dont breath it doesnt hurt. All these pains are very temporary however.
hey i am a smoker. Im 20 and ive been smoking weed laced with a little bit of cigerettes for like 6 years now. I dont really smoke ciggerettes (although i did for about 3 months). Im not overweight but i eat a lot of fast food. I often get chest pains. Does this mean i may have heart desies?!
thx for this
Okay, thank you very much
Please Google for all that info. You are asking me to write a large response for which there is no room here. Download one of my free reports.
Oh tyvm, wad are mono unsaturated fats, sry im nt a bio kinda person, can give me like real life examples of what should a heart deseased person eat? and wad kind of food exactly contains trans and saturated fats? sorry for my ignorance
No trans fats at all, minimal saturated fats and lots of mono unsaturated fats. Decrease carbs…that may mean less rice…depending on your total carb intake.
Sorry im kinda confused, so we should eat normal trans fats and less saturated fats? and about the carb intake, i’m an asian, does it just mean that I eat less rice?

Actually, they were proven to be misleading and this has been discussed for a couple of decades now by those without a full understanding.
Diabetic ketoacidosis should not be confused with dietary ketosis. DKA has to do with a lack of insulin and can be dangerous for Type 1 or 2 diabetics.
Dietary ketosis is a condition achieved with the voluntary restriction of carbohydrates and carries with it no risk….as long as it’s temporary.
Thanks for posting your video. Have you read these articles yet?
“Chen T, et al. The Lancet 2006;367:958″
and “Shah P, et al NEJM 2006;354(1):97-8″
Do you have any remarks regarding the increased ketoacidosis risk that ensues from burning fat as a primary energy source? There were some life-threatening case reports of such with Atkins..
Thanks
i hate u, you are retarrded.
Please forward to me the study where the participants ate only fat and had high levels of heart disease.
Your stupid, fat has everything to do with heart disease.
No confusion. Cholesterol does not cause heart disease by itself. People who eat too many carbs and also eat any fat and cholesterol that they wish…the average American diet, will have problems.
so what is it? can cholesterol cause heart disease? you are confusing the people who watches this video! (asktheholisticdoctor,
