Rocketboom has always been a news cast of sorts with a light tone. For things like this, it should be serious.
Had this been any other news cast would have paid attention as much or actually watched it to the end?
@selvmordspilot Im dead serious I love that shit! Pwned muther fuckers.. Bow down to the rich XD jk on that.
so sad
@goodman854 : Aahh, I get it now. You’re kidding. Funny guy. But you should be more serious about these matters imho.
@selvmordspilot Misreading and not understanding simple reading between the lines does not mean I don’t know what Im talking about. Capitalism is great.
@goodman854 : “enslave the week” “low prices” – wtf r u talking about?
A Resource based economy doesn’t use the monetary system, and thus talking about low prices proves u dont know what it is.
As for ‘enslaving the week’ – u can’t enslave a period of time (7 days), and if you mean “weak” then obviously u dont know what you’re talking about, since this system is actually about liberating EVERYONE from work and the paid slavery system we’re operating with today.
Dont talk about stuff u dont know
@selvmordspilot Ok so you know your wrong. It is important we enslave the week to produce quality items at low prices for the better of man.
@goodman854 : u obviously know nothing about a resource based economy, so until u enlighten urself, i’m going to ignore your ignorant ramblings about rich people’s right to not give a fuck about the state of the world.
@selvmordspilot thats a terrable idea. What would that do at all? Rich people shouldn’t have to pay tax fyi!
@goodman854 : i just did. Read it! (resource based economy, should a repeat be necessary)
@selvmordspilot Name it…!
@hahahaspam : awaiting response ……..
@FFarmerCharlie (continued): Because, first of all, that can hardly be called a system. And secondly, because such a system does not ensure welfare for all. And as long as people suffer from inequality or injustice, they will struggle.
I stick to the idea of a resource based economy, not because it is the easist sollution, but because it is the best one i’ve ever come across. I used to embrace communism, and ignore that the power had to be centralized with the state. RBE doesn’t have this prob.
@FFarmerCharlie : I think you’re quite right. The resource based economy requires us to work together, globally. And this is a great challenge. But as you say, as longs as we don’t think of the world as a unity, and keep dividing it – competition is hard to avoid, and some might attempt to rise to power.
I’m not too familiar with anarcho communism, but from the sound of it, i think it’s very similar.
I dont think you’re right about a multitude of archists communes is the best system (continued)
@goodman854 : Good is a dangerous word. But i can name a system that is way way better, and is capable of adapting and thus further improving.. That’d be the system of a resource based economy.
Damn I wasn’t expecting that ending. R.I.P
This breaks my heart… RIP Samal.
@selvmordspilot I shall remember those names.
@hahahaspam : I’m sure you meant to add an ‘-ism’ to the first mention of capital. But i’m glad we sorta agree on this, at least. Though your formulation of the trade aspect seems to focus a lot on the individual choice making, and a lot less on the reasoning behind the choices of a capitalist, and the rules of the game – things i’m sure you take for granted.
You said you were willing to debate Zeitgeist. I’ve posted a comment on your channel, and am awaiting response.
@selvmordspilot capital refers to a system of de jure private property rights and to a voluntary transfer of ownership of those resources without having to consult some authority for the conditions of said transfer.
So ‘capital’ is owned goods or services. (ownership being enforced by force)
@selvmordspilot Name 1 good system.
who wants to make a difference?
That just broke my heart. And no that was not a joke or a pun or anything. That is so awful. I just feel ashamed and embarrassed to just live in america where healthcare is possible but isn’t given unless you pay for it.
Healthcare should be provided to all human beings.
R.I.P samal
@selvmordspilot (continued) I support small scale communes, as these work a lot better than large scale, entire nations, communism. but even these small scales ones require a hierarchy and an outer trade system, and people need to work, because if people just get their required resources for free, lots of people will loaf around.
i think the best system would be (utopian here) an anarchist world with many small communes but simply, someone will take over.
